    Is maths a chore?

Is maths a chore or a natural interest to you?

I'll hold my hands up, it is taking my life over by storm. If I've had a lie in I'll be asking the question, how many hours of maths could I have got done if I woke up earlier? I turn up to work with Euclid's propositions written on paper in my pocket to memorize because again I feel time was wasted not doing maths. I'm in a bullsh*t job, hardly see anyone anymore, family frequency has broken down to the point of non-existence and all I care about is getting my maths done. And to be quite honest, unless you teach maths there's not a lot in it for you apart from your own benefit.

The 60 scripts I have to mark are a chore. Preparing the specimen answers is fun.

I went back to maths after retiring
(40 years away from it; retired 12 years ago)
and simply enjoy it; always loved maths during
    my education (High School only...sorry!).
