Please suggest some book on Theory of equations which is modern day equivalent of the Classic-'Theory of equations' by Burnside and Paton. A few days ago, I had the fortune to get a copy of this Classic and it's amazing. What I like most about this book is that it cater to the needs of beginner learners like me and build up from very basic level to advanced level. So I am looking for a book which is easy to understand, explains from very basic level, and which has a lot of illustration questions. I will appreciate if any can suggest a modern day version of the above Classic. ( I don't have a college level math background).
Thanks in advance.
