How to prepare for Calculus II Summer?

Hello,

I'm taking Calculus II over the summer, in a 6 week course.

I have a 97% in Calculus I right now, and I go to a community college.

Anyone suggest me memorizing any certain formulas or integrals before the class? Should I look over certain sections before and try to make sense of them?

Re: How to prepare for Calculus II Summer?

Commit these to memory:

Know how to differentiate polynomials, sine and cosine functions, exponential functions, logarithmic functions.

Know the product, chain and quotient rules for differentiation.

Know how to antidifferentiate polynomials, sine and cosine functions, exponential functions.

If you studied partial fraction decomposition in Pre-Calc, you may want to review that, as you will be using this method in the integration. Particularly useful is the Heaviside cover-up method...saves a lot of paper. :D

Know your trig. identities well, or be able to derive them from a few basic forms. You may want to review conic sections too, as well as parametric/polar equations.

Thanks,

I completely forgot about partial frac decomp. I'll have a look over that!
