    dividing by less than one

    hi,

    first of all i need to say that im really bad in math...
    im trying to figure out whats the best way to calculate a whole number divided by numbers smaller than 1...

    for ex: 1 divided by 0.00101

    how can you make this calculation without using an calculator???

    You can multiply the numerator and the denominator by the same number without changing the ratio. So, \frac{1}{0.00101}=\frac{1\cdot100000}{0.00101\cdot  100000}=\frac{100000}{101}.
