Thread: Placement test preparation

I have a placement test for my community college. I was taking the practice placement test, and is very simple. Almost, offending to other people (I think). But I got a very low score on the practice test, and I'm afraid I might get placed into remedial classes which I get no credit for and have to pay.

Therefore what is the best way to study the following?

I'm thinking about reading some reviews they gave me, from purple math (which I don't always clearly understanding), watching videos on Khan Academy, and asking questions on this forum. But, I don't know if 5-10 questions on the same topic per day might annoy people. Then again I believe it might help me more to annoy you guys with 5-10 topics per day, rather than play Playstation 3 and flight simulator everyday (for those who like video games).

I usually have problems with topics like the following:

I ordered Forgotten Algebra, and Forgotten Calculus to help me.

I've been watching videos on Khan Academy too, but he doesn't seem to have videos for first learning algebra, so I've been watching this lady's videos

Those links you provided seem to be something sort of like the Forgotten Algebra books. You should just study each link, and then take the exam. At my college they let you take it twice if you don't do well the first time, so do the best you can if you study the tests. There is only so much you can do, because you'll end up falling behind.
