1. ## Categories of Mathematics

Hello everyone

I was wondering if I could get a list of branches of math; Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trig, Calculus, etc., and which require the understanding of the others in order to learn. I'm only on calculus 3 but I know there's a lot more out there. I excel in math and I want to know what I can start learning on my own, and what I have to look forward to in my studies. I also am highly interested in teaching and tutoring math. I never went to school before college, though, so I'm unclear on the way the curriculum works until calculus.

This list could be infinite, or the branches of math might not be as clearly separate in later math, so this question might not be clearly answerable. I'd like any help I could get understanding it though.

Thanks to anyone who helps (:

In my opinion vectors, functions, co ordination, Laplace and Fourier also come under maths. I learnt these terms during my engineering, I like to solve Laplace as well as Fourier. If you want to work with all these mathematical terms you have t search some online math tutor free for that purpose.
