A 5-kg shell is fired from a gun which has a mass of 6000Kg.If the gun recoils with a velocity of 3m/s,find the muzzle velocity of the shell? Attempt: (5)(0)+(6000)(-3)=V(5+6000) I don't know if i am doing it correct?
