    Puzzle problem

    Hi there!

    6*7=30
    7*5=24
    4*9=24
    8*5=?

    According to the first three relations find 8*5=?.

    (6-1)x(7-1)=30
    (7-1)x(5-1)=24
    (4-1)x(9-1)=24

    x=multiplication

    here is the relation: a*b = (a - 1)(b - 1)
