Thread: Speed-time question..

A goods train completely crosses a 120m long bridge with uniform speed v in t seconds. Then it will cross 240m long bridge with uniform speed 2v in. :

a)t secs
b)2t secs
c)less than t secs
d)more than t secs.

As per the statement
A goods train completely crosses a 120m long bridge with uniform speed v in t seconds.

t = 120/v

Now distance is 240 m and speed = 2v

Therefore time = 240/2v = 120/v = t secs
