I have to divide an exactly 19,685 feet long fishing rod to pieces with a 2:3 ratio. How is it done? Or is it possible at all?

That's one long fishing rod. Do you mean to separate this length into 2 lengths that are in a 2:3 ratio? If so,
$\displaystyle 2x+3x=19685$
$\displaystyle 5x=19685$
$\displaystyle x=3937$
$\displaystyle \frac{2x}{3x}=\frac{2(3937)}{3(3937)}=\boxed{\frac {7874}{11811}}=\frac{2}{3}$
If not, I don't know what you mean.
