Simplifying
51y2 -2580y -39879
First, you need to reorder the terms then factor the GCF that will be 3
3(-13293 + -860y + 17y2)
then factor a trinomial
3[(-211 -17y)(63 -y)]so the final result is3(-211-17y)(63 -y)
i'm not sure bout this. i just tried. you can check it.

where $y_{1,2}=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}$ and $a=51, \ b=-2580, \ c=-39879$

Factor: . $51y^2 - 2580y - 39879$

Factor out 3: . $3(17y^2 - 860y - 13293)$

There are a number of ways to factor this ugly trinomial.
. . I hope you know at least one.

Answer: . $3(x - 63)(17x + 211)$
