    Word Problem Please help!!

    Find the length of a ladder that is nine metres from a wall and reaches a height of 12cm. Please explain well .

    Draw a diagram. There's a right-triangle. Use Pythagoras' Theorem to solve for the length of the hypotenuse.

    And be careful, your units should be the same. Recall that 1~\text{cm} = 10^{-2}~\text{m}
