1. ## simple over thought question

doing an all nighter and for some reason got stuck..i know its simple but i keep second guessing myself

$\displaystyle \frac {0.001mw} {10.76ft^2} \frac {?} {1ft}$

im trying to conver this 10.76feet squared into just one single foot using dimensional analysis but i cant think it rhough to tired keep second guessing myself......first i thought multiply buy 10.76.....but that cant be right because the megawatt would decreass if are decreased

I'm not sure what you're doing.

Are you trying to convert megawatts per area into the reciprocal of feet?

We can do this symbolically, but to express the answer using numerical values requires knowing how many feet are equal to one megawatt. That does not make sense to me.

In order to understand this conversion, I think that I need to know why you are trying to do it.

$\displaystyle \frac{0.001 \cdot mw}{10.76 \cdot ft^2} \cdot \frac{A \cdot ft}{B \cdot mw} \;=\; \frac{o.oo1 \cdot A}{10.76 \cdot B \cdot ft}$
