This is a Physics problem, I must say. According to the Archimedes Principle, any body immersed in some fluid receives a upward force equal to the weight of the moved fluid. See Buoyancy.

Considering the tank to be prismal, it moved a voume of water of of water. As one liter of water weights aproximately one kg,
