    s+300=3s

    First, subtract s from both sides of the equation.

    s+300{\color{red}-s}=3s{\color{red}-s}

    300=2s

    Finally, divide both sides of the equation by 2.

    \frac{300}{{\color{red}2}}=\frac{2s}{{\color{red}2  }}

    150=s

    \boxed{s=150}
