    another significant figure question.

    so is 90.00 4 sig figs?? i thought when zero's locate the decimal they dont count??

    or is that only when:

    0.004 = 1 sig fig

    but since there is a "9"
    90.00 counts as 4 sig figS??

    is my reasoning right or wrong?

    Trailing zeros after a decimal point are always significant. 90.00 has four sig figs.

    Leading zeros are never significant. 0.004 has 1 sig fig.
