so is 90.00 4 sig figs?? i thought when zero's locate the decimal they dont count?? or is that only when: 0.004 = 1 sig fig but since there is a "9" 90.00 counts as 4 sig figS?? is my reasoning right or wrong?

Trailing zeros after a decimal point are always significant. 90.00 has four sig figs. Leading zeros are never significant. 0.004 has 1 sig fig.
