    [SOLVED] Linear and Angular Velocity. Very Urgent! Help

    The wheel of the truck is turning at 4.5 rpm. The wheel is 0.8 m in diameter.

    a. Find the angular velocity of the wheel in rad per sec.
    b. Find the linear velocity in ft. per sec. of a point on the rim of a wheel.

    Have you been taught the basic definitions?

    Read this: Angular and Linear Velocity

    a. (2 \pi) (4.5) radians in 1 minute therefore \frac{(2 \pi) (4.5)}{60} radians in 1 second ......

    b. v =  \omega \, r = \left( \frac{(2 \pi) (4.5)}{60}\right) \, (0.8) m/s.
