    word problem

    Dark room box has 2 blue marbles, 7 red marbles, 9 green marbles and 11 purple marbles. What is the smallest number of marbles to take up to make sure you have at least 4 of the same color?


    how do i solve this problem?

    There's obviously a non-zero probability of picking two blue, three red, three green and three purple. What's certain to happen with your next pick ......?
