    Word problem - quadratics (n.2)

    The hypotenuse of a right angle triangle is 15 cm. the sum of the legs of the triangle is 21 cm. Find the legs of the triangle.

    How do I solve this?

    Since the sum of the legs are 21 cm, one leg will be x cm and the other will be 21-x cm. By using Pythagoras' theorem you'll get x^2+(21-x)^2=15^2.
