Word problem - quadratics (n.2)
The hypotenuse of a right angle triangle is 15 cm. the sum of the legs of the triangle is 21 cm. Find the legs of the triangle.

How do I solve this?

How do I solve this?

Since the sum of the legs are 21 cm, one leg will be $x$ cm and the other will be $21-x$ cm. By using Pythagoras' theorem you'll get $x^2+(21-x)^2=15^2$.
