    I see what you are saying I was thinking about finite decimals (or e-cimals however you call them here).

    Soroban,

    I have only just had a closer look at your answer to my original questions, and I don't see how in (a) the tables are written in base 12.

    Did you use the method explained after you replied, giving youre answers?

    It's written in base twelve (notice in the times table it says 3*4=10)(remember 10 in base 12 means 12 in base 10)
