    work done.

    A lift raises five people each of mass 83kg through a vertical distance of 30m in 80 secs. Determine the power supplied by the lift.

    The work done is equal to the magnitude of the change in gravitational potential energy in this case. So how does the work done relate to the average power supplied?

    For work done just use F x D where in this case F is the weight of the passengers and D is 30 metres

    for average work done take this ansa and divide it by the time taken in this case 80 seconds
