Math problem.

Math problem.
My friend gave me this problem, and I don't know how to solve it.
Pattern have been laid and it consist of 11/32 of black.
The pattern consist of 20 of Figure 1.
Figure 1 consist of 3/6 (1/2) black and 3/6 (1/2) white.
The pattern also consist of Figure 2.
Figure 2 consist of 1/4 black and 3/4 white.
How many of Figure 2 is in the pattern?

I have tried for almost an half an hour now. I feel really stupid.

a simple trial and error..

you have 6 patterns for fig.1 and 4 patterns for fig.2.
you need 32 patterns. so how will you get them from the figs?

one solution is to get 2 fig1 and 5 fig 2.. so that the total patterns will be 32. others are 4 fig1 and 2 fig 2, and others..

but the catch is, if you have 2 fig1 and 5 fig 2, you will get 6 blacks from fig 1 and 5 blacks from fig 2, a total of 11 blacks..

Yes but it says that you need 20 of Figure 1.

then multiply it by 10.. so you will need 20 fig1 and 50 fig 2..

let us check..

20 fig1 implies 120 patterns and 60 blacks..
50 fig2 implies 200 patterns and 50 blacks..

total patterns: 320
total blacks: 110..
and there it is..
