Gasoline is sold in the U.S. by the gallon and in Canada by the liter (1 U.S. gallon=231 cu. in.; 1 liter=1000 cm cubed). What is the equivalent cost, in U.S. dollars per gallon for gasoline in Canada priced at 61.9 Canadian cents per liter, when one Canadian dollar exchanges for 66 cents U.S.?
I am still working on this one but I am unclear it I should convert the 61.9 cents to U.S. or if that is the wrong tack, I would appreciate any help given.
