Thread: 1 question.. two answers..

according to google 3^2 + 5^2 divided by 2 = 21.5

according to me 3^2 + 5^2 divided by 2 = 17

Which one of us is stupid? If googles right could you help explain their answer a little further? thanks.

Actually I think I see how they produced 21.5. It's 3^2 or 9 + (5^2/2) So 5^2 = 25/2 wich is 12.5 plus 9 = 21.5

yup, your syntax is off. this is why it is important to use parentheses, with google as well as MHF
