    curve

    (x^2 -9)/(x^2-6x+5)
    How many times does this cross the x-axis?

    Not sure what to do with this - any help or hints greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    \frac{x^2-9}{x^2-6x+5}=0 \Longleftrightarrow x^2-9=0

    Can you take it from here ?
