Thread: Maths assignment- Yatzy rig

I have a problem I need to figure out and was wondering if anybody could help.
My question is this
Refer to the dimensions of the Yatzy and determine if it can safely move under the cable at this position. What is the vertical margin between cable and the top of the oil rig (Yatzy)- Include the safety margin in the height of the rig.
Te dimensions for the yatzy after I worked it out are its 97m high and 73m wide.
I also have the workings for the cable which is y=0.0005x2 - 0.4x+160
Can provide further info if needed.

I've made a sketch of the curve of the cable.

You mentioned "... at this position ..." but you didn't say which position is meant

Normally a safety margin is given in a percentage of the measures ...?
