    Acids and Bases

    • A home remedy for bee stings is to apply a paste made from baking soda and water. Why would this help to ease the pain of a bee sting?
    • Wasp stings are often treated with vinegar. The ethanoic acid in the vinegar neutralizes the wasp sting. What type of chemical so you think is in a wasp sting?
    • Ant stings and nettle stings contain methanoic acid. How could you treat them?

I don't understand how this is a math question.

But presumably (meaning I'm guessing), baking soda, being a base, neutralizes the bee sting (which must be acidic if it is neutralized by the bee sting)

If wasp stings are neutralized by acids in vinegar, then wasp stings must be basic.

If ant and nettle stings contain acid, then apply a base to neutralize them (the baking soda paste sounds like a decent option)
