Mathematican and his work

Hey there!

I have to do a project in my math class and for that project we have to name a famous contributor to mathematics, write a bibliography etc. and create a problem that models one of his or her contributions. I am really desperate right now and dont know how to create a problem. Does somebody know a mathematian and a mathematical problem (maybe not the most difficult) related to the mathematican?

Only problem is if it is a PROBLEM in mathematics it will be pretty difficult

I would suggest Euler and The Riemann Hypothesis

Or Poincare and the Poincare conjecture (although this was proven by a Russian mathematician whose name alludes me Alexi? Grigori?)
