# Math Help - dimensions of omega

1. ## dimensions of omega

does anyone know why the dimensios of omega(angular speed of a pendulum) is T^-1... I thought that speed has dimensions LT^-1. Surely omega isn't just a function of time. Clearly my thinking is wrong if somebody could conclude why the dimensions are so that would be great!?oh im sorry just found the answer angle/time angle is dimensionless sorry!

Angular speed is degrees or radians per second, but both degrees and radians are in fact dimensionless and so the units of angular velocity/speed are $[T]^{-1}$.
