    Velocity question?

If I am told that a particle starts at time 0 and moves along the number line, and the position is given by x(t) = (t - 2)(t - 6)^3, to find when the particle is moving left, do I need to find when the velocity of this particle is negative?

    Hi

to find when the particle is moving left, do I need to find when the velocity of this particle is negative?
Yes, as the particle moves along the number line, it is moving left iff its velocity is negative.
