First find the area. Area is defined as length multiplied by width:

$\displaystyle A=lw$

$\displaystyle A=16\cdot 12$

$\displaystyle

A=192

$

Pressure per square meter means:

$\displaystyle \frac {P}{A}=\frac {24,000}{192}=125 N/m^2$ - Apr 11th 2008, 03:32 PMtopsquark
Just to let y'all know, the unit for Newtons is N not n. The unit is named in honor of a person, so it gets capitalized.
