1. integrate to find volume

for curve y= [(x+1)^0.5]/x
area bounded by x-axis, x=3 to x=5
and rotated about x-axis
find volume of this solid

i got 1.47 units sq but ans. is 2.02 units sq

do you need to let u=... eg x=1
or something?

$V = \pi \int_3^5 \frac{x+1}{x^2} \, dx = \pi \int_3^5 \frac{1}{x} + \frac{1}{x^2} \, dx$.

I'd hope this integral was easy for you to do ......
