Math Help - Inverse and Modulus Functions help please! D:

    Cool Inverse and Modulus Functions help please! D:

    Heya!

    My graphics caculator isn't working and I can't quite remember the formula to draw the graph by hand, but how do I work out what

    y = 1
    ___
    x+4

    Looks like on a graph?

    If I go to Cool math .com - Online Graphing Calculator - Graph It! and enter 1/x+4, would it be correct? Because I -did- try to draw it by hand, but they seem to be in different places. :[

    Two things:

    First of all, if you don't have technology to graph it, go to the old standby: Graph y(x) for x = -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc.

    Second, if I'm right you aren't graphing y = 1/x + 4, you are graphing 1/(x + 4). There's a BIG difference.

    Haha yeah, I just tried out the brackets! It's coming up as it would if my graphics calculator was working. :]
