need some help with this percentages problem

Fresh mushrooms are grown in a farm. Some of these are dried in an oven. A batch of fresh mushrooms weighs 5kg. The amount of water in these mushrooms is 92% of their weight.

    (a) What is the weight of the dried mushrooms if all the water were to be removed?

    (b) What is the weight of the mushrooms at a stage when they are partially dried and the amount of water is 60% of the total weight?

    Hint: 75% of 20kg = 20 * .75 = 15kg

Since "The amount of water in these mushrooms is 92% of their weight" and they weighted 5 kg, the weight of water is 0.92(5)= 4.6 kg while the weight of dry matter is 0.4 kg. Let "w" be the weight of water when water is 60% of the total weight. Then the total weight is w+ 0.4 so we must have w= 0.60(w+ 0.4)= 0.60w+ 0.24 or 0.4w= 0.24.
