    Word Porblem (solving inequalitites)

    A car salesman receives $50 for each car sale plus 2% of the purchase price. How much must a car sell for in order for the salesperson to earn at least $500?

    Plzz help urgently...Please.

    What have you tried?

    Sells for $100. ==> $50 + $100*0.02 = $52
    Sells for $1000. ==> $50 + $1000*0.02 = $70

    Have you solve the Equality or did the INequality scare you away?

    X is the price of the car.

    $50 + X*(0.02) = $500

    So, more than that?
