    Help needed

    Write as a single power. Express answers with posative exponents.

    [(-8)^6]^-2
    ------------
    [(-8)^-4]^3

    If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.

    \frac {\left[ (-8)^6 \right]^{-2} }{\left[ (-8)^{-4} \right]^3} = \frac {(-8)^{-12}}{(-8)^{-12}} .............since (x^a)^b = x^{ab}

    so this is just 1

    i hate questions that have answers like that, it cuts the teaching lesson short. we didn't even get to use the fact that \frac {x^a}{x^b} = x^{a - b}
