It's NOT my "passion", it's my job.
Wrong and ignorant, to prove that is the case you only need to display a single counter example.
To prove your claim you need to show that every sentient being is not passionate about mathematics, which I'm pretty sure you have not done (did I miss your email? .. or did you not canvas AI's)
.
I am passionate about it. Although I like math with application. I probably wouldn't care too much to be developing math with no applicability. But I love mathematics, engineering, and science. Engineering in particular as it combines mathematics and science.
Just curious, but why did you get a job in it? Any particular reason? Do you like or dislike it? Also, what kind of math job do you have?
Because it is the purest form of what makes us human: our ability to reason. Because it is the universal language, and anyone who understands this universal language must agree that the integral from 0 to eternity of e^-t dt = 1. We will never fully comprehend the infinite or eternal, but through math all people regardless of race, religion or country of allegiance accept the reality of the infinite and eternal, and concur with at least some of the implications of this truth.
