That means either 5 or 6 and there are 6 possibilities thus,
the probability is $\displaystyle 2/6=1/3$

Not sure, what you want. Add $\displaystyle x$ to both sides to get,
$\displaystyle 16=x$

Not sure what you want. You need to use F.O.I.L on $\displaystyle (x-8)(x-5)$ which gives $\displaystyle x^2-5x-8x+40$ collect terms to get, $\displaystyle x^2-13x+40$

Slope-intercept form means basically solve for $\displaystyle y$. First subtract 16 from both sides to get, $\displaystyle 3x-16=4y$ now divide by 4 both sides to get,
$\displaystyle y=\frac{3}{4}x-4$

First write it in slope-intercept form. Which is $\displaystyle y=x+12$. Any line parallel to this one has the same slope. The slope in the coffecient of the $\displaystyle x$ which over here is 1 because $\displaystyle 1x=x$.
