    Magnets, Repelling a metal ball?

Hi, I have a question. Is it possible to repel a metal ball or change its rolling direction using magnets (I'm pretty sure no) ? What material must the marble be made of to influence it using magnetic fields?

By the way, this is for my Goldberg Physics summative project.

    Thank you for your time.
