    Take the cube root of each side:

     243=a^3
     243^{1/3} = (a^3)^{1/3} = a

    If the question is "what is a" then the answer is obviously a= 243^{1/3}. Now, you might, if you are required to, find the prime factors (start by dividing by 3) and simplify that. Since you made no attempt yourself, it is impossible to determine what you want to do or what you have been asked to do.

    ( But 3^3= 27, NOT 243!!)
