Thread: Stuck on quadratics chapter review question

the equation of curve b is y=-6+4x-x^2 (h, 3) is the vertex of a parabola A, with equation y=x^2+b+c. Find the values of b,c and h for h>0
B) let P be a point on curve A and P' be a point on curve B such that PP' is perpendicular on to the x axis.

Look at the graph of the unknown curve A it intersects the y-axis at (0,4) this means that C is 4.
also the line of symmetry of any parabola expressed in the quadratic form y=ax^2+bx+c is x= -b/2a this is equal to h in your case...
the rest is easy ..try to do some homework on your own.
