Thread: Rly hard math question.

Hey

I just got this rly weird question,
could you guys help me out? Thks alot !!!

If the two lines are parellel, the circles are tangent to each other, and to the lines, and the circles are same size and their radius is 4, what is the distance from the top line to bottom one?

Please help me, and thanks a lot.!!!

I had this problem on the PSAT I took saturday.

You can draw an equilateral triangle from the intersections of the circle and the altitude of an equilateral triangle is and then add the sum of the radii because that is what you have left.

Uhh, im not sure i follow, Should the equilateral triangle inscribe the circles?

The vertices of the equilateral triangle would be at the center of the circles.

haha, your enthusiasm is causing me to feel really happy for you for some reason. (about that server thing, you should talk to the admins about that).
