Hey guys, the task: Express y=5/3x+2 in general form. My answer: 5x -3y +6 = 0 Is that correct?

Hey ford2008. Is general form in ax + by + cz + dw + ... + = 0 or n . (r - r0) = 0? (n is normal vector, r is any point on line/plane and r0 is a specific point on line/plane)?
Hey chiro, general form is Ax + By + C = 0 (where A, B and C are integers)
It you are to express it in that form, then you should write: 5x + (-3)y + 6 = 0
I think you're being just a little anal Mark.
Perhaps, but after all, the OP wasn't asked to use the form $\displaystyle Ax-By+C=0$
