What is the most common symbol for momentum? Wikipedia says p. Some people seem to use rho.

When I was a student, it was .

We used for density.

It's usually p or P. P is typical for a "total momentum."

On the other hand if we're talking about a collision problem, I've also seen q and Q when p and P have already been used.
