1. how many atoms of hydrogen are in 5.3 x 10^4 molecules of sodium glutamate, NaC5H8NO4? (all the numbers are subscripts)

2. a) how many formula units are in a 4.35 x 10^-2 g sample of KClO3?
b) how many ions (chlorate and potassium) are in this sample?

i missed the chem lesson on moles so im trying to figure this all out

you mean $NaC_5H_8NO_4$ correct?

Hint: there are 8 hydrogen atoms in every molecule of $NaC_5H_8NO_4$

3. yeah, sorry, i dont know how to type subscripts :P

would this be right?
this is what i wrote:

8 x 5.3 x 10^4
= 4.24 x 10^5 hydrogen atoms

and i have another question, i just editted it....this is what i did:
2. a) mols = 4.35 x 10^-2 g / 122.5
=3.6 x 10^-4 mols
3.6 x 10^-4 mols x (6.02 x 10^23 molecules)
= 2.14 x 10^-3

b) chlorate ions:
=4 x 2.14 x 10^-3
potassium ions:
=2.14 x 10^-3

i really dont know if im doing this right
