    Re: metric conversion confusion

    Your result is the same as the given result in scientific notation.

    0.75\text{ kg}\cdot\frac{10^6\text{ mg}}{1\text{ kg}}=0.75\times10^6\text{ mg}=7.5\times10^5\text{ mg}

    Re: metric conversion confusion

    1500 millimeters to km

    1500 mm x 1 km
    10^6

    1.5 x 10^5 is the answer
    I am not sure if this is right

    1.5\times10^3\text{ mm}\cdot\frac{1\text{ km}}{10^6\text{ mm}}=1.5\times10^{-3}\text{ km}
