I got these questions wrong in my test. Can someone explain this to me please???
f(x)-->(3x-2)/(x+2)

f:x-->2x+5, g:x-->(1/2)x

also, what does the notation f:x indicate ?

That is what I don't know. It came in the test but the teacher didn't teach this because he left the school without completing the syllabus. Please teach it....

the first question involves calculus ... taking the derivative of a rational function f(x) using the quotient rule, then evaluating the value of that derivative f'(x) at x = 2, f'(2).

I believe the second function involves function composition.

I recommend you google the above topics and research how to do them yourself.
