    Could I just make a triangle of forces and check the angles?

    force triangle method works.

    Re: Forces question

    By Lamy's theorem there is no equilibrium in both cases
    \frac{P}{\sin\alpha}=\frac{Q}{\sin\beta}=\frac{R}{  \sin\gamma}
