Urgently need physics/chemistry research project ideas
Hey everyone. I understand that this isn't the best way to make a first post, particularly on mathematics forums. I'll do my initiatory lurking later (yes procrastination).
Speaking of procrastination... As the title implies (like it should - I'm off to a good start), I have to make a proposal for a research project. But (and it's a big one), the project must "be chosen to focus on topics or situations relevant to current day issues for which scientific solutions can be found." Energy saving methods or something, perhaps? I'm really lost for ideas here, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Doable ideas will be appreciated even more, obviously.
The proposal is due for tomorrow. While it itself isn't for marks, I'd like to get started (and consequently done) with this ASAP. Thanks in advance!

Sure, energy is big. You could do fuel cells/electrolyzers, current state of fusion energy, current state of fission energy, coal, oil, solar, wind, etc.
I'm assuming the phrase "can be found" does not imply that you need to find them?
Here's one: the application of robotic technology to science. Naturally, science has greatly influenced the development of robotics, but I would claim that a lot of that technology. like the computer, is now being thrown back at science in productive ways.
I'm assuming this project is at the high school level?

Geez, quick response. I forgot to add that this is for Grade 11, so yes, high-school level. Those are great ideas, particularly the application of robotic technology to science, as well as the current states of fusion and fission energy.
If this is indicative of the quality of help I can generally expect to receive from here, I love this place already. Thanks Ackbeet

You're very welcome. Have fun!
